It can sometimes be difficult to find a solution to shoulder pain, whether it’s acute or chronic and dependent on lifestyle factors. You may have had pain whilst performing a particular exercise at the gym, or you have been struggling to wash your hair due to limited range of motion and pain. Whatever the scenario, we are highly experienced and are able to assess, diagnose and relieve your shoulder pain.
The shoulder (Glenohumeral joint) is the most mobile joint within the human body. Due to this increased motion, a group of tendons surrounding the shoulder (Rotator cuff) is needed to help stabilise and better aid the shoulder joint. Due to this anatomy, the shoulder can be put under a lot of stress throughout the day, which can lead to pain and dysfunction.
We will use an array of diagnostic shoulder tests, during the initial examination. This will be part of a multi faceted approach to get you feeling pain free and as functional as possible.
Typical shoulder pain causes/diagnoses may include:
- Subacromial bursitis
- Rotator cuff tear/tendinopathy
- Frozen shoulder
- Labral tears
- Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) sprain
Here are some typical shoulder pain diagnoses that we have treated at the clinic.
