The word chiropractic comes from the Greek words meaning “performed by hand”. Chiropractic care aims to facilitate the body’s natural healing ability, by using a variety of techniques. These techniques primarily include joint manipulation of the spine, and extremity joints. This can be done in a variety of ways. We can also use other modalities such as soft tissue mobilisation and nerve flossing/gliding techniques.
Chiropractors in the UK, have to adhere to completing a minimum 4 year degree, with masters accreditation. We also need to be registered with our governing body (General chiropractic council) in order to be able to practice.
